Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Andrew Berkowitz, Staples Swimming. Berkowitz won the 200 IM and 100 freestyle, and anchored the victorious 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays in a meet against Darien.

Fletcher Heron, New Canaan Basketball. Heron finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and eight steals in a win over Darien.

Ryan Johnston, Trumbull Basketball. Johnston made six 3-pointers and scored 27 points in a win over St. Joseph.

Jason Lambert, St. Joseph Track. Lambert was the only male double winner at the FCIAC Championships, taking the 300 and 600 meters.

Connor Parkes, Greenwich Basketball. Parkes finished with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in a win over Danbury.

Cam Perkins, Danbury Basketball. Perkins averaged 29 points in two wins and scored his 1,000th career point.


Here are the female finalists:

Macyn Callahan, New Canaan Hockey. Callahan had two shutouts, giving the Rams five in a row and 13 for the season.

Adriana Gromelski, Darien Hockey. Gromelski scored four goals and four assists in two games, including a hat trick and three assists in a win against Greenwich.

Ava Malagisi, Ridgefield Track. Malagisi was the only female double winner at the FCIAC Championships, taking the 1,600 and 3,200 meters.

Grace Rizzo, Trumbull Gymnastics. Rizzo scored a meet-high 9.55 on the floor exercise in a win over Westhill/Stamford.

Emma Senatore, Ludlowe Gymnastics. Senatore won two events and the all-around with a score of 35.65 in a win against Staples, Wilton, Norwalk and Fairfield Warde.

Avi Steele, Danbury Cheerleading. Steele was the individual champion and helped lead the Hatters to their seventh straight FCIAC championship.
