Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have 10 male and nine female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Jaylen Brown, Norwalk Basketball. Brown finished with 71 points in a pair of wins.

Zach Brzoska, Fairfield Warde Wrestling. Brzoska won the 113-pound title in overtime at the FCIAC Championships.

John Carrozza, Ridgefield Wrestling. Carozza won the 126-pound title at the FCIAC Championships.

Jake Hendrickson, Darien Basketball. Hendrickson averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds in a pair of wins.

Aethan Munden, Trumbull Wrestling. Munden won the 215-pound title in 43 seconds at the FCIAC championships.

Connor Parkes, Greenwich Basketball. Parkes finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks in a win over Stamford.

Deydon Soto, Danbury Wrestling. Soto was named the FCIAC Championships’ Most Outstanding Wrestler after winning the 132-pound title.

Donell Young, Fairfield Ludlowe Wrestling. Young won the 157-pound title at the FCIAC Championships.

Benjamin Lorenz, Staples Track. Lorenz won the 1,600 meters at the Class LL Championships.

Jayden Triana, Brien McMahon Track. Triana won the 300 meters at the Class LL Championships.


Here are the female finalists:

Kayla Algeri, Trumbull Gymnastics. Algeri won the all-around title and helped the Eagles capture first place at the FCIAC Championships.

Zen Blanks, Fairfield Warde Track. Blanks won the shotput at the Class LL Championships.

Kate Cimador, Fairfield Ludlowe Basketball. Cimador averaged 19.5 points in a pair of games.

Esme Daplyn, Greenwich Track. Daplyn won the 600 meters at the Class LL Championships.

Izzy Haire, Darien Hockey. Haire scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over New Canaan.

Erin Lovett, St. Joseph Basketball. Lovett finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and three steals in a win over Wilton.

Layla Roberts, Norwalk Track. Roberts won the high jump at the Class LL Championships.

Mia Sommer, Wilton Basketball. Sommer scored 17 points in a near-upset of St. Joseph.

Pauline Vlahakis, Stamford Basketball. Vlahakis finished with 29 points, 22 rebounds and three blocks in a pair of wins.
