We have six male and four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Zach Brzoska, Fairfield Warde Wrestling. Brzoska won the 113-pound title at the Class LL Championships.
Doster Crowell, New Canaan Hockey. Crowell scored a hat trick in the Rams’ win over Fairfield.
Jesse Defonce, Danbury Wrestling. Defense won the 165-pound title at the Class LL Championships.
Benjamin Lorenz, Staples Track. Lorenz won the 1,600-meter title at the State Open Championships.
Tate Mahoney, Fairfield Ludlowe Basketball. Mahoney set school records with 39 points and eight 3-pointers in a win over Darien.
Victor Petkov, Ridgefield Wrestling. Petkov won the 144-pound title at the Class LL Championships.
Here are the female finalists:
Esme Daplyn, Greenwich Track. Daplyn won the 600 meters at the State Open Championships.
Erin Donegan, St. Joseph Basketball. Donegan scored 26 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Wilton.
Ryanne Gulbin, Fairfield Warde Basketball. Gulbin scored 19 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal overtime win over Trumbull.
Claire Ognibene, New Canaan Basketball. Ognibene scored 24 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Stamford.
