Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Dominic Barrella, Ridgefield Wrestling. Barrella won the 120-pound title at the State Open.

Sam Clachko, Staples Basketball. Clachko finished with 29 points and eight rebounds in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Wilton.

Connor Parkes, Greenwich Basketball. Parkes finished with 30 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals in a win over Fairfield Warde. 

Cam Perkins, Danbury Basketball. Perkins scored 23 points in the Hatters’ FCIAC quarterfinal win over Stamford.

Charlie Schwind, Darien Hockey. Schwind scored a hat trick for Darien in an 8-3 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Westhill/Stamford.


Here are the female finalists:

Gigi Gracia, St. Joseph Basketball. Gracia averaged 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 3.5 steals in three games and was named tournament MVP as the Cadets won the FCIAC title.

Izzy Haire, Darien Hockey. Haire scored two goals, including the game-winner in the second overtime, and was MVP in the Blue Wave’s win over New Canaan for the FCIAC title.

Kan-yah McCarthy, Fairfield Ludlowe. McCarthy won the 138-pound title at the State Championships.

Marangelie Teixeira, Trumbull Wrestling. Teixeira won the 165-pound title at the State Championships.

Jasmine Whitfield, Stamford Wrestling. Whitfield won the 120-pound title at the State Championships.
