We have four male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Machai Henry, Danbury Track. Henry won the 100 and 200 meters at the FCIAC championships.
Trevor Schuelke, Trumbull Baseball. Schuelke threw a complete game and got his second win of the tournament in pitching the Eagles to the FCIAC title.
Ian Swiatowicz, Ridgefield Boys Volleyball. Swiatowicz finished with 15 kills, four digs and six service points in a straight-set win over Darien for the FCIAC title.
Adam Udell, Staples Lacrosse. Udell scored the final four goals, the game-winner eight seconds into overtime, rallying the Wreckers to a 7-6 victory over Darien for their first FCIAC title.
Here are the female finalists:
Kate Friedman, Greenwich Track. Friedman won the 1,600 and 3,200 at the FCIAC championships.
Alex Lewey, Fairfield Ludlowe Softball. Lewey is believed to be the only winning pitcher in four straight FCIAC softball championships after leading the Falcons to a 5-2 win over Ridgefield.
Arabella Lopez, Ridgefield Golf. Lopez shot a two-over par 72 to win the inaugural FCIAC girls golf title.
Maya Marin, Trumbull Track. Marin won the discus and javelin at the FCIAC championships.
Olivia Robles, Danbury Track. Robles won the 100 and 300 hurdles at the FCIAC Championships.
Lauren Smith, New Canaan Track. Smith won the shotput and took second in the discus and javelin at the FCIAC championships.Â
