Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Doster Crowell, New Canaan Lacrosse. Crowell finished with four goals and four assists in the Rams’ 13-3 Class LL win over Greenwich.

Andrew Griffin, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Griffin played a strong defensive game in the Tigers’ 13-8 Class LL quarterfinal win over Staples.

Austin Howard, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Howard allowed four hits over six innings, with seven strikeouts, in a 3-0 Class LL quarterfinal win over Enfield.

Jack Marisca, Darien Lacrosse. Marisca won nine of 11 draws in the Blue Wave’s 12-4 Class LL quarterfinal win over Wilton.

Kai Nee, Staples Baseball. Nee threw a complete-game two-hitter, with 15 strikeouts, in the Wreckers’ 7-0 Class LL quarterfinal win over Newtown.


Here are the female finalists:

Emma Abazzia, Greenwich Lacrosse. Abbazia finished with four goals and an assist in a 10-8 Class LL quarterfinal win over Ridgefield.

Yael Everett, Ridgefield Softball. Everett threw a complete-game two-hitter, with seven strikeouts, in a 2-0 Class LL quarterfinal win over Trumbull.

Kelsea Flanagan, St. Joseph Softball. Flanagan went 3 for 4 with two RBIs in a 6-0 Class L quarterfinal win over Jonathan Law.

Vivian Knott, Darien Softball. Knott allowed just four hits and an unearned run, with eight strikeouts, over five innings in a 1-0 Class LL quarterfinal loss to Southington.

Alex Lewey, Fairfield Ludlowe Softball. Lewey tossed a one-hitter, with 11 strikeouts, in a 1-0 Class LL quarterfinal win over Middletown.

Paige McKenna, Fairfield Warde Golf. McKenna was the medalist at the first FCIAC Championship with a 75.
