We have three male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Pietro Carvalho, Greenwich Boys Soccer. Carvalho scored three goals in a 5-0 win over St. Joseph.
David Onianwa, Trumbull Soccer. Onianwa finished with a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over Fairfield Warde.
Brooks Thompson, New Canaan Golf. Thompson was the medalist with a 35 against Fairfield Ludlowe and tied for medalist in a win over Fairfield Warde.
Here are the female finalists:
Nola Antonio, Trumbull Field Hockey. Antonio scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime against St. Joseph, and had an assist on the lone goal in a win over New Canaan.
Emmy Beach, St. Joseph Swimming. Beach won the 200 and 400 free and orchestrated two comeback victories in the 200 and 400 free relays in a meet with Fairfield Ludlowe and Stamford/Westhill.
Sarah Bernann, Greenwich Volleyball. Bernann finished with 40 assists in a four-set win over Joel Barlow.
Lily McClay, Fairfield Ludlowe Field Hockey. McClay finished with five goals and five assists in a pair of games.
Mia Sommer, Wilton Soccer. Sommer scored five goals in two wins, including the winner against Darien.
Charlotte VanDerzee, Darien Swimming. VanDerzee, a freshman, won the 50 and 100 freestyles in a win against Fairfield Ludlowe in her first meet.
