We have 10 male and eight female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Bauer Gammill, New Canaan Hockey. Gammill finished with three goals and two assists in a pair of wins.
Alex Hickey, Ridgefield Basketball. Hickey scored 24 points in a 67-51 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.
Ethan Hudson, Norwalk Track. Hudson won the Western Division 55-meter title in 6.71.
Rashidi Newton, Bridgeport Central Track. Newton broke the school record and won the Eastern Division high jump title at 6-3.
Andrew Sharron, Darien Track. Sharron won the 1,600 and 3,200 meter titles to help the Blue Wave win the Eastern Division title.
Adam Udell, Staples Basketball. Udell had a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a 73-50 win over Fairfield Warde.
Joshua Villard, Westhill Track. Villard won the Western Division long jump title at 19-7.75.
Avi Wilson-Spiro, Wilton Wrestling. Wilson-Spiro went 5-0, with a win at Staples and four at the Brookfield Invitational.
TJ Wright, St. Joseph Basketball. Wright scored a game-high 28 points in a 65-56 win over Trumbull.
Augustine Zarra, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Zarra won the Eastern Division 45-meter title in a time of 5.88.6.71.
Here are the female finalists:
Aaliyah Cook, Danbury Track. Cook won the Western Division 55-meter title in 7.45.
Ava Feay, Fairfield Warde Basketball. Feay scored a game-high 18 points, finished with 6 steals and had a notable defensive effort in a 51-45 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.
Ava Gernert, Ridgefield Basketball. Gernert finished with 18 points and 3 steals in a 42-39 win over Fairfield Ludowe.
Naziah Johnson, Norwalk Track. Johnson won the Western Division long jump title in 15-8.
Charlotte Moore, New Canaan Track. Moore won the 1,600 meters and was second in the 3,200 meters to help the Rams win the Eastern Division title.
Sophie Passalacqua, Greenwich Track. Passalacqua won the 3,200 meters and finished second in the 1,600 to help the Cardinals win the Western Division title.
Melinda Pettit, Wilton Track. Pettit won the Eastern Division pole vault title at 9-6.
Jamaya Slowley, Bridgeport Central Track. Slowley won the 45-meter Eastern Division title in a time of 6.49.
