We have seven male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.
Here are the male finalists:
Lazar Agoev, Ridgefield Wrestling. Agoev won the 160-pound title at the Class LL championships.
Matt Becker, Fairfield Warde Basketball. Becker scored the game-winning basket at the buzzer in the second overtime against Greenwich and finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds in a win against Fairfield Ludlowe.
Tyler Johnson, Danbury Wrestling. Johnson won the 120-pound title at the Class LL championships.
Michael Longo, Trumbull Wrestling. Longo won the 106-pound title at the Class LL championships.
Andrew Nanai, Greenwich Wrestling. Nanai won the 182-pound title at the Class LL championships.
Andrew Smith, Wilton Basketball. Smith scored 22 points in a win against Brien McMahon.
Noah Zuckerman, Fairfield Warde Wrestling. Zuckerman won the 152-pound title at the Class LL championships.
Here are the female finalists:
Lindsay Capobianco, St. Joseph Gymnastics. Capobianco won the bars and beam in a meet against Foran.
Ty’Lynn Ith, Danbury Basketball. Ith scored 16 points in a quarterfinal win over Staples.
Mari Noble, Greenwich Track. Noble won the 3,200 title at the State Open by over 10 seconds.
Caitlyn Scott, Trinity Catholic Basketball. Scott scored 12 of her 16 points from the foul line in the fourth quarter of a quarterfinal win over Fairfield Ludlowe.
Cali Stietzel, Ridgefield Basketball. Stietzel hit a 3-point shot with 26 seconds left to lift the Tigers to a quarterfinal win over Trumbull.
Tess Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe. Stapleton won the 55-meter hurdle title at the State Open.
