Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and seven female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players of the Week.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Mikey BresciaGreenwich Lacrosse. Brescia scored four goals and four assists in a 14-5 win over Weston.

Jaxon Ermo, Norwalk Baseball. Ermo pitched a complete-game four-hitter in a 14-1 win over Staples.

Josh Marcus, Staples Lacrosse. Marcus stopped 12 shots in a 7-6 win over New Canaan.

Wes Scallen, Darien Lacrosse. Scallen scored four goals in an 11-7 win over Wilton.

Matt Vahle, Brien McMahon Baseball. Vahle went 5 for 8 with two home runs for the week and went six innings to get the win against Danbury.

Dan Vidal, Trumbull Baseball. Vidal had two hits, including a double, and four RBIs in an 8-3 win over No. 3 Fairfield Warde.


Here are the female finalists:

Hayden Anderson, Fairfield Ludlowe Lacrosse. Anderson, a freshman, finished with nine goals and an assist in a pair of wins.

Cora Barrett, Staples Softball. Barrett hit a double, home run and drove in three runs in a 5-3 win over Stamford.

Mackie Caouette, St. Joseph Softball: Caouette was 9 for 13 with five RBIs in three games. 

Grace Codd, Trumbull Golf. Codd was the medalist in two of the Eagles’ three wins.

Emma Hamilton, Darien Softball. Hamilton batted. 454 in three wins and hit a 9th-inning walkoff double for a 1-0 win over No. 4 St. Joseph.

Abigail O’Dell, Danbury Softball. O’Dell pitched a four-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

McKenna Sherry, Fairfield Warde Softball. Sherry battled .429 with five RBIs in three games and struck out 11 in six innings to close out two games.
