Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have eight male and three female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Matt Becker, Fairfield Warde Basketball. Becker finished with 30 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal loss to Wilton.

Chris Brown, Trumbull Basketball. Brown scored 22 of his 28 points in the second half of an FCIAC quarterfinal win over St. Joseph.

Javon Hernandez, Danbury Basketball. Hernandez finished with 24 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Stamford.

Nick Kronenberg, Wilton Basketball. Kronenberg finished with 21 points and had the crucial late steal in an FCIAC quarterfinal overtime win over Fairfield Warde.

Justin Mastroianni, New Canaan Wrestling. Mastroianni won the 138-pound title at the State Open.

James St. Pierre, Ridgefield Basketball. St. Pierre finished with 27 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over New Canaan.

Sam White, Norwalk Wrestling. White won the 120-pound title at the State Open.

Charlie Zolin, Greenwich Hockey. Zolin finished with 25 saves in the Cardinals’ 3-2 FCIAC playdown win against New Canaan.

 

Here are the female finalists:

Jakara Murray-Leach, Norwalk Basketball. Murray-Leach scored 17 points in the FCIAC semifinals and final and was named MVP in the championship win over Trinity Catholic.

Jessica Olin, Wilton Gymnastics. Olin set a school record with a 9.7 in the floor exercise and also won the vault at the Class M championships.

Tess Vincent, Fairfield Warde Gymnastics. Vincent won the beam at the Class L championships.
