We have six male and four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players of the Week.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Tyler Easterbrook, Darien Baseball. Easterbrook threw a complete-game two-hitter to lead the Blue Wave to a 2-1 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Brien McMahon.
HT Jones, St. Joseph Baseball. Jones threw a complete-game one-hitter and added a two-run single in a 3-0 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Staples.
Charles Lovett, Ridgefield Track. Lovett won the 800 and 1,600 at the FCIAC Championships.
Ian Moore, Fairfield Ludlowe Baseball. Moore hit a two-run single in the seventh inning to give the Falcons a 4-3 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Fairfield Warde.
Grey Wildman, New Canaan Lacrosse. Wildman scored seven goals in a 16-4 FCIAC quarterfinal win over St. Joseph.
Cameron Williams, Greenwich Track. Williams won the 400 and was part of the winning 4×400 relay at the FCIAC Championships.
Here are the female finalists:
McKenzyi Bell, Trumbull Track. Bell won both the 100 and 200 at the FCIAC Championships.
Sophia Rodriguez, St. Joseph Softball. Rodriguez homered in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a scoreless tie and help the Cadets to a 1-0 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Ridgefield.
Lauren Smith, New Canaan Track. Smith swept the shotput, discus and javelin at the FCIAC Championships.
Lauren Valji, Darien Softball. Valji hit a walkoff two-run homer to give Darien a 3-2 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Danbury.
