We have five finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players of the Week.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Katie Dzialo, St. Joseph Softball. Dzialo allowed seven hits, with 28 strikeouts and just one walk to lead the Cadets to a 2-1, 14-inning win over Darien for the FCIAC title.
Lauren Livesay, New Canaan Golf. Livesay shot a 79 and then won in a playoff to capture the FCIAC Girls Golf title.
Ian Moore, Fairfield Ludlowe Baseball. Moore went 3 for 7 with three RBIs during the FCIAC tournament and was named MVP in the title game win over Norwalk.
Dylan Penn, Ridgefield Boys Lacrosse. Penn stopped 12 saves, including five in a big third quarter, to help lead the Tigers to a 12-7 win over New Canaan.
Anna Von Kennel, Darien Girls Lacrosse. Von Kennel finished with two goals, two assists and led a strong defensive effort to earn MVP honors in the Blue Wave’s 9-3 win over Wilton for the FCIAC title.
