We have six male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players of the Week.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Denny Dustin, Wilton Football. Dustin had 161 all-purpose yards, rushing for 139 and three touchdowns in a 41-7 win over Staples.
CJ English, Fairfield Warde Football. English rushed for 105 yards on six carries and a score and had six catches for 44 yards in a 31-8 win over Stamford.
Ryan Love, Fairfield Ludlowe Football. Love completed 27 of 41 passes for 235 yards and two scores and rushed 10 times for 73 yards in a 35-34 overtime win over Norwalk.
Santi Parra, Greenwich Football. Parra led a strong defensive effort that did not allow a touchdown in a 44-7 win over Trumbull.
Jake Rios, St. Joseph Football. Rios kicked three field goals in a 16-0 win over Ridgefield.
Henry Stein, New Canaan Football. Stein rushed for 157 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns in a 43-10 win over Danbury.
Here are the female finalists:
Paulina Bykowski, Trumbull Volleyball. Bykowski finished with 11 kills, 6 digs and 5 aces in a 3-0 win over Stamford.
Alessandra Calipa, Danbury Soccer. Calipa recorded three shutouts in a 2-0-1 week for the Hatters.
Clare Greisen, New Canaan Soccer. Greisen scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Trumbull.
Daisy Hackett, Staples Field Hockey. Hackett scored all three goals in a 3-0 win over Stamford.
Heidi Zieme, Greenwich Volleyball. Zieme had 13 digs and 8 kills in a win over Stamford and 10 kills and 10 digs in a win over Darien.
