Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and seven female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Ray Dearth, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Dearth finished with four goals and two assists in a 15-7 quarterfinal win over Fairfield Warde.

Aaron Kirby, St. Joseph Baseball. Kirby hit a walkoff two-run homer in the Cadets’ 11-10 quarterfinal win over Trumbull.

Chad Knight, Staples Baseball. Knight threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings and also had two hits, including a home run, in an 8-0 quarterfinal win over McMahon.

Reilly Sullivan, Wilton Lacrosse. Sullivan scored twice, including the winner in overtime as the Warriors won an FCIAC quarterfinal game with Staples, 4-3.

Henry Williams, Darien Baseball. Williams struck out nine over 6 1/3 innings and won a quarterfinal game for the third straight year, 8-2 over Danbury.

 

Here are the female finalists:

Payton Dorion, St. Joseph Softball. Doiron pitched a three-hit shutout in a 6-0 quarterfinal win over Danbury.

Emily Gell, Trumbull Softball. Gell pitched a shutout in a 7-0 quarterfinal win over Greenwich.

Kyle Kirby, Staples Lacrosse. Kirby finished with four goals and three assists in an 11-9 quarterfinal win over Ludlowe.

Meghan Mitchell, New Canaan Golf. Mitchell shot a 39 against Darien and a 38 against St Joseph.

Sydney Nethercott, Greenwich Golf. Nethercott shot a 39 (+2) against Danbury and a 36 (-1) against Staples, with an eagle and birdie.

Jordan Rossi, Stamford Softball. Rossi pitched 3 1/3 shutout innings of relief, allowing no hits with six strikeouts, and was 3-for-4 with a home run in a 10-7 quarterfinal win over Ridgefield.

Sophie Sudano, Wilton Lacrosse. Sudano scored six goals in a quarterfinal win over Ridgefield.

Olivia Vadas, Fairfield Warde Softball. Vadas was the winning pitcher and hit a three-run homer in a 4-3 quarterfinal win over Ludlowe.
