Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and seven female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Michael Barrett, Trinity/Wright Tech Football. Barrett scored three touchdowns in the Crusaders’ 21-13 win over Bridgeport Central.

Evan Birns, Staples Soccer. Birns’ brilliant late goal lifted the Wreckers to a 3-2 come-from-behind upset of top-seeded Glastonbury in the second round of the Class LL tournament.

Josh Frumin, Greenwich Soccer. Frumin scored both goals in the Cardinals’ 2-1 Class LL quarterfinal win over Hamden.

Will Kirby, Darien Football. Kirby scored four touchdowns in a 40-0 win over Norwalk.

Carlos Moreno, Fairfield Ludlowe Football. Moreno ran for two late touchdowns, from 36 and 49 yards, in the Falcons’ 27-24 win over Danbury.

Michael Zizzadoro, Wilton Soccer. Zizzadoro scored twice in the Warriors’ 5-1 Class L quarterfinal win over Joel Barlow.

 

Here are the female finalists:

Adriana Alfisi, Norwalk Field Hockey. Alfisi scored the lone goal in the Bears’ 1-0 Class L quarterfinal win over Newtown.

Bailey Cenatiempo, Trumbull Volleyball. Cenatiempo finished with 10 kills and nine digs in the Eagles’ win over top-seeded Greenwich in the Class LL quarterfinals.

Kelly Chittenden, Ridgefield Soccer. Chittenden made seven saves, including two in the closing seconds, of a 2-1 Class LL quarterfinal win over St. Joseph.

Molly Hellman, Darien Field Hockey. Hellman scored two goals and had an assist in a 5-0 Class L quarterfinal win over Amity.

Saylor Kirsch, Greenwich Diving. Kirsch won the Class LL diving championship with a score of 443.75 points.

Jess Leon, Staples Field Hockey. Leon helped lead the Wreckers to a 7-2 Class L quarterfinal win over New Canaan.

Jackie Soderlund, Fairfield Ludlowe Volleyball. Soderlund had 12 kills in the Falcons’ Class LL quarterfinal win over Conard.
