Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Lucas Basich, Staples Basketball. Basich made nine 3-pointers and scored 37 points in a win over Brien McMahon.

Carlos DeWinter, Greenwich Wrestling. DeWinter won his 120-pound match, 16-7, to give the Cardinals a win over Brien McMahon.

Luke McGarrity, Ridgefield Basketball. McGarrity scored 33 points in a win over New Canaan.

Alex Sotirhos, New Canaan Hockey. Sotirhos, a freshman, scored his first two career goals in a win over Trumbull.

Tyler Stiewing, St. Joseph Hockey. Stiewing stopped 37 shots for a shutout in a 2-0 win over Norwalk-McMahon.

Quentar Taylor, Trumbull Basketball. Taylor had 19 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds against Westhill and 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, and the go-ahead basket with 28 seconds left in a win over Norwalk.

Here are the female finalists:

Kit ArrixDarien Hockey. Arrix finished with a goal and assist in a 3-1 win over Simsbury.

Bianca Granitto, Greenwich Track. Granitto won the 600 at the Western Division championships.

Mia Guster, Staples Gymnastics. Guster won the all-around in a meet against St. Joseph.

Peyton McNamara, Brien McMahon Track. McNamara won the 50-meter dash at the Western Division championships.

Dina Merone, Stamford Basketball. Merone played a key role in the Black Knights’ 3-0 week. She had a double-double against St. Joseph, including 6 points and 7 rebounds in the fourth quarter, and 15 rebounds against Westhill. 

Chloe Perreault, Danbury Basketball. Perreault scored 15 points in a one-point win over Wilton.
