Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes. Each won titles at the FCIAC Track championships.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Jeb Boyrer, Norwalk-McMahon Hockey. Boyrer scored a school-record six goals and added an assist in a 9-6 win over JBWA.

Johnny Briody, Ridgefield Basketball. Briody scored 17 points on five 3-pointers in a win over Wilton.

Ryan Jack, Danbury Wrestling. Jack won the Class LL 128-pound title.

Mike Longo, Trumbull Wrestling. Longo won the Class LL 106-pound title.

Tommy Mazur, Westhill Wrestling. Mazur won the Class LL 170-pound title.

Cole Shaughnessy, Fairfield Warde Wrestling. Shaughnessy won the Class LL 152-pound title.

Tyler Sung, New Canaan Wrestling. Sung won the Class L 152-pound title.

Here are the female finalists:

Arianna Gerig, Staples Basketball. Gerig scored 16 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Grace Lesko, Trumbull Basketball. Lesko scored 15 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Stamford.

Mackenzie Nelson, Greenwich Basketball. Nelson made 8 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter and scored 22 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Norwalk.

Tess Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Stapleton set a meet record in the 55 hurdles and also won the long jump at the State Open meet.

Cali Stietzel, Ridgefield Basketball. Stietzel scored 15 points in an FCIAC quarterfinal win over Danbury.
