Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our new performance T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Derek Rivers, Danbury Lacrosse. Rivers finished with five goals and two assists in the Hatters’ first win of the season, 16-8 over Stamford.

Mason Schaefer, Staples Lacrosse. Schaefer finished with five goals in a 16-5 win over Glastonbury.

Anthony O’Sullivan, Trumbull Volleyball. O’Sullivan finished with 26 assists, 10 digs and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Staples.

Matthew Minicus, Darien Lacrosse. Minicus finished with five goals and three assists in a 15-11 win over Wilton.

Callum Wood, New Canaan Lacrosse. Wood scored four goals in the Rams’ 11-8 win over Ridgefield.

Bryce Metalios, Greenwich Lacrosse. Metalios scored six goals in a 13-8 win over Fairfield Warde.

Mike Iorfino, Stamford Baseball. Iorfino hit a three-run double in a 4-1 win over Brien McMahon.


Here are the female finalists:

Kaleigh Harden, New Canaan Lacrosse. Harden finished with three goals and six draw controls in a win over Darien.

Morgan Lebek, Wilton Lacrosse. Lebek scored six goals in a 17-11 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Alanna Smith, Danbury Track. Smith won the 100, 200, 400 and was the closing leg for a winning 4×400 relay team in a meet against Greenwich.

Anna Makover, Brien McMahon Lacrosse. Makover scored five times — including her 100th career goal — and added two assists in a game against Danbury.

Mackenzie BruggemanTrumbull Softball. Bruggeman pitched a two-hitter, struck out six and homered in a 3-1 win over Darien.

Elena Ohe, Fairfield Ludlowe Softball. Ohe had two hits and three RBIs in a 10-2 win over Staples.
