Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have eight male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our new performance T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Aidan Best, Staples Lacrosse. Best finished with four goals and two assists in a 12-11 win over Ridgefield.

Zach Broderick, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Broderick pitched three innings of scoreless relief, with six strikeouts, in a 4-3, nine-inning win over Staples.

Ethan Chalon, New Canaan Track. Chalon won the shotput, discus and javelin, with two personal bests, in a meet against Wilton.

Jaden Echevarria, Norwalk Baseball. Echevarria went 3 for 4, with a home run, three RBIs and four runs scored in a 13-5 win over Brien McMahon.

Will Hughes, Wilton Lacrosse. Hughes’ goal with 14 seconds remaining lifted the Warriors to a 9-8 win over Greenwich.

Kevin Pascual, Brien McMahon Baseball. Pascual hit a grand slam to key the Senators’ 8-7 upset win over Fairfield Warde.

Michael Rose, Greenwich Baseball. Rose pitched 6 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just two hits, in a 2-0 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Tyler Yoon, Fairfield Ludlowe Volleyball. Yoon finished with 27 kills, 10 digs, three blocks and eight service points in a four-set loss to New Canaan. 


Here are the female finalists:

Reagan Lalor, Danbury Softball. Lalor had a walkoff three-run homer and five RBIs in a win over Greenwich and a two-run homer in a 3-2 win over Trumbull.

Leni Lemcke, Staples Golf. Lemcke shot a 1-over-par 38 against Greenwich, 3-over-par 41 against Danbury and was medalist in two other victories over Ridgefield.

Molly McGuckin, Darien Lacrosse. McGuckin scored four second-half goals in a 14-3 win over Wilton.

Molly Mitchel, New Canaan Golf. Mitchel carded scores of 41 at Trumbull, 39 at Danbury and 41 against Darien to pace three team wins.

Tia Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Stapleton topped her school record 5-6 in the high jump and is currently No. 1 in the state.

Benni Tucci, Norwalk Softball. Tucci in a 2-1 week went 9 for 13 at the plate.
