Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Cam Edwards, Norwalk Football. Edwards accounted for 247 yards and three touchdowns on offense and recovered a fumble and had a game-clinching interception in a win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Marc DeGaetano, New Canaan Golf. DeGaetano shot a one-over par 37 to win medalist honors in a team loss to St. Joseph.

Charlie Howard, Staples Football. Howard with 17 seconds left returned an interception 73 yards for a score to lift the Wreckers to a 27-20 win over Trumbull.

Matt Morrissey, St. Joseph Football. Morrissey in his first start threw for four touchdowns and ran for another in a 49-0 win over Danbury.

Brian Sawch, Westhill Soccer. Sawch’s late goal lifted the Vikings to a 1-0 win over Trumbull.


Here are the female finalists:

Ellie Moore, Darien Volleyball. Moore finished with 20 kills, 21 digs, 18 aces and 16 assists in a pair of wins.

Korrie Munoz, Trumbull Soccer. Munoz scored three goals in a 6-0 win over Westhill.

Tyla Ozgen, Staples Field Hockey. Ozgen, a freshman, in her first two games scored five goals in wins over Norwalk and Branford.

Selina Torstere, Fairfield Warde Volleyball. Torstere finished with 22 service points, 13 aces, eight kills and nine assists in a win over Kolbe.
