Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Jack Haley, New Canaan Swimming. Haley, a freshman, won both the 200 free and 500 free and was part of two winning relays in a meet against Darien.

Kevin Hyzy, Wilton Basketball. Hyzy scored 29 points in a 66-47 win over Stamford.

Aidan Lamothe, Westhill Basketball. Lamothe scored 23 points and dominated the offensive boards in a 66-61 win over Staples.

Ryan Phelps, Staples Basketball. Phelps scored 26 points to rally the Wreckers to a 72-62 win over Danbury.

Matthew Weiner, Ridgefield Swimming. Weiner went 7-0 this week, with three individual wins and a part of four winning relays in victories over Norwalk and Fairfield Co-Op.

Here are the female finalists:

Sydney Butler, Stamford/Westhill/Staples Hockey. Butler made 27 saves in a 0-0 tie with Darien.

Ellie Forma, Trumbull Gymnastics. Forma won the all-around with a score of 36.15 in a win over Darien.

Claire Haupt, Darien Hockey. Haupt stopped 24 shots in a 0-0 tie with Stamford/Westhill/Staples.

Peyton Jelinek, Greenwich Hockey. Jelinek scored a hat trick in a 9-3 win over Fairfield Co-Op.

Maddie Tully, New Canaan Hockey. Tully scored three goals in the third period of a 5-0 win over Suffield.
