We have 11 male and three female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Dominic Barrella, Ridgefield Wrestling. Barrella won the FCIAC 113 title by an 8-4 decision.
Louis Ceci, Greenwich Wrestling. Ceci won the FCIAC 182 title with a late pin to overcome a 4-3 deficit.Â
Lukas Cylwik, Trumbull Wrestling. Cylwik won the FCIAC 220 title by a 5-2 decision.
Will Ebert, Fairfield Warde. Ebert won the FCIAC 170 title by pin to remain undefeated.
Nick Fatone, Norwalk Wrestling. Fatone won the FCIAC 132 title by pin.
Jack Francis, Staples Wrestling. Francis won the FCIAC 99 title by an 11-2 decision.
Ryan Johnson, Wilton Track. Johnson won the long jump at the Class L championship with a 21-11.5.
Cristian Pote, Danbury Wrestling. Pote, a freshman, won the FCIAC 106 title by pin.
Joseph Sansone, St. Joseph Wrestling. Sansone won the FCIAC 285 title by pin.
John Schneider, McMahon Wrestling. Schneider won the FCIAC 120 title by a 19-9 decision.
Dylan Sherman, Fairfield Ludlowe Wrestling. Sherman won the FCIAC 126 title by a 4-3 decision.
Here are the female finalists:
Amanda Benson, New Canaan Girls Hockey. Benson scored three goals to lead the Rams to a 5-0 win over Darien.
Emma Johnson, Fairfield Warde Gymnastics. Johnson won the all-around title at the FCIAC championships with a score of 37.75.
Tia Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Stapleton won the CIAC Class LL long jump at 16-11.25.
