Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Kyle Bloomer, Darien Track. Bloomer won the 200, 400 and anchored the winning 4×400 relay team in a 118-32 win over Westhill.

Carson Brunone, Trumbull Volleyball. Brunone finished with 34 assists, five digs and six aces in a straight-set win over rival St. Joseph.

Ben Calabrese, Wilton Lacrosse. Calabrese scored five goals in an 11-7 win over Fairfield Prep.

Carter Heagle, New Canaan Baseball. Heagle, a freshman, hit two home runs in a win over Abbott Tech.

Matthew Konopka, Ridgefield Volleyball. Konopka finished with 30 assists and seven kills in a 3-1 win over Staples.

Garrett Larsen, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Larsen went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and three runs scored in a 11-2 win over Coginchaug.

James Leydon, Westhill Lacrosse. Leydon finished with five goals and three assists in a 14-5 win over Law.

Here are the female finalists:

Brianna CardonaWesthill Softball. Cardona pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 10-0 win over Greenwich, adding two triples and two RBIs.

McKenzie Didio, Staples Lacrosse. Didio finished with 13 goals and two assists in a win over Stamford and loss to Ridgefield.

Amelia Hughes, Wilton Lacrosse. Hughes made 23 saves in wins over Guilford and Rye.

Gabby Laurentani, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Laurentani finished with three goals and 10 draw controls in a win over Staples.

Hollis Mulry, New Canaan Lacrosse. Mulry scored six goals as the Rams edged Bronxville (NY), 12-11.

Sadie Stafford, Darien Lacrosse. Stafford scored three goals and added an assist as Darien scored twice in the final minute to defeat Victor (NY), 10-9, and added a goal and assist in a win over Manhasset.
