Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Kyle KippWesthill Baseball. Kipp had two complete-game wins in which he allowed four hits, one earned run, with 27 strikeouts and two walks.

Connor Lytle, New Canaan Baseball. Lytle went 4 for 4 and scored three times in a 10-9 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Josh Marcus, Staples Lacrosse. Marcus, a freshman goaltender, recorded 25 saves and allowed just 10 goals in three wins.

Taso Panagiotidis, Norwalk Baseball. Panagiotidis batted .500 in four games to help the Bears go 3-1.

Ian Swiatowicz, Ridgefield Volleyball. Swiatowicz’s play at middle blocker helped the Tigers to a 4-0 week.

Here are the female finalists:

Samantha Albert, Stamford Softball. Albert went 9 for 11, with two doubles, a triple, nine RBIs and three runs scored in three wins.

Maddie Collins, Norwalk Softball. Collins batted .571, with five RBIs, and recorded her 100th strikeout.

Martina Kaba, Westhill Tennis. Kaba went 4-0 for the week to improve her season record to 14-1.

Annika Khurana, New Canaan Tennis. Khurana went 4-0 and, normally the No. 4 singles player, rallied for a win at No. 3 against Fairfield Ludlowe to clinch the team win.

Tia Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Stapleton won the high jump at the Loucks Games with a finish of 5-6.
