We have five teams on the menu for the Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Team of the Week vote.
Your finalists are: the Fairfield Warde Wrestling, Brien McMahon Boys Basketball, New Canaan Boys Hockey, Trumbull/St. Joseph Girls Hockey and Danbury Girls Basketball teams.
This year we have a new prize: the winning team from the winter that gets the most votes will receive a team pizza party at Colony Grill, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.ย The Norwalk girls basketball team is the current leader with 1,631 votes.
The Mustangs won the FCIAC championship, ending a streak of 35 titles in 36 years by Danbury.
The Senators swept St. Joseph and city rival Norwalk.
The Rams shut out Ridgefield and took a 4-1 decision over Darien.
Trumbull/St. Joseph defeated Ridgefield/Danbury/Immaculate and Masuk Co-Op for its sixth wins in eight decisions.
The Hatters defeated Darien, Greenwich and Immaculate.
