We have seven teams on the menu for the Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Team of the Week vote.
Your finalists are: the New Canaan Girls Tennis, Wilton Boys Tennis, Ridgefield Softball, Greenwich Boys Tennis, Staples Boys Lacrosse, Trumbull Boys Volleyball and Darien Girls Lacrosse teams.
This year we have a new prize: the winning team from the winter that gets the most votes will receive a team pizza party at Colony Grill, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank. The Trumbull baseball team is the current leader with 781 votes.
The Rams swept Danbury, Staples and Wilton.
The Warriors defeated Fairfield Warde, Norwalk and New Canaan.
The Tigers defeated Darien, Staples and New Canaan by a 17-1 margin.
The Cardinals swept Brien McMahon, Fairfield Ludlowe and Staples without dropping a match.
The Wreckers defeated Fairfield Warde, Massapequa and Darien, coming from seven goals down in a state final rematch.
The Eagles defeated Simsbury and Ridgefield in five sets.
The Blue Wave defeated Garden City, Fairfield Ludlowe, Staples and St. Paul’s, the No. 3 team in the country.
