We have eight teams on the menu for the first Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Team of the Week vote of the new school year. Your finalists are:

- Greenwich Swimming
- Ridgefield Field Hockey
- St. Joseph Football
- Stamford Volleyball
- Staples Girls Cross Country
- Trumbull Golf
- Westhill Football
The winning team will get our new Team of the Week T shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
The Falcons had one-goal wins over New Canaan and Westhill.
The Cardinals opened with a win over New Canaan.
The Tigers went 3-0, with an overtime win over New Canaan.
The Cadets opened with a 17-7 win over North Haven.
The Black Knights went 3-0, including a five-set win over New Canaan.
The Wreckers swept a meet with Greenwich, Ludlowe and Norwalk.
The Eagles remained unbeaten with three wins, including one over No. 2 New Canaan.
The Vikings, who went winless last year, opened with a 27-0 win over Wilbur Cross.
