We have eight teams on the menu for the Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Team of the Week vote, the first one of the 2020-21 school year.

The winning team will get our new performance T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Your finalists are: the New Canaan field hockey, Trumbull girls soccer, Darien volleyball, Staples boys cross country, Ridgefield girls swimming, Danbury boys soccer, Norwalk volleyball and Stamford girls soccer teams.

The Rams came from behind to beat Darien in overtime and shut out Greenwich.

The Eagles upset town rival St. Joseph.

The Blue Wave opened with a win over New Canaan.

The Wreckers defeated Danbury.

The Tigers started the season with a win over Staples.

The Hatters opened with a win against Staples.

The Bears defeated town rival Brien McMahon.

The Black Knights defeated city rival Westhill.
