After a long list of memorable accomplishments over the past three months, it is time for you to decide who was the very best of the best. We have selected four outstanding male and six female finalists for the Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Winter Male and Female Player of the Year awards.
The winners will receive a custom-made long-sleeve T shirt with name and uniform number on the back.
The vote ends at noon on Wednesday.
Here are the finalists.
Male Finalists
Connor Hunt, Ridgefield Swimming. Hunt was the Most Outstanding Swimmer, winning two events at the FCIAC championships.
Ryan Jack, Danbury Wrestling. Jack swept FCIAC, Class, State Open and New England championships.
Bennett McDermott, Darien Hockey.
Tyler Sung, New Canaan Wrestling. Sung swept FCIAC, Class, State Open and New England championships.
Female Finalists
Cassi Barbato, Trumbull Basketball.
Arianna Gerig, Staples Basketball.
Kaleigh Harden, New Canaan Hockey.
Catherine Martin, Darien Hockey.
Mackenzie Nelson, Greenwich Basketball.
Tess Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Stapleton swept the 55 hurdles and long jump at the FCIAC, Class LL, State Open and New England Championships.
