Wilton’s Molly Thomas is the January winner of The Tutoring Club’s Student-Athlete of the Month award.
Thomas, a junior right wing and captain on the school’s Co-Op girls hockey team with Norwalk and Brien McMahon, will receive eight free hours of tutoring from The Tutoring Club.
Besides being a standout for the hockey team, Thomas is also a starting defender for the Wilton field hockey team, which won the state title in November. She will be a captain for the Warriors next year.
Thomas has a 3.65 grade point average and was selected by USA Field Hockey for the National Futures Championship team. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and has been a girl scout for 12 years, now working for the gold award, its highest honor.
Tutoring Club, with locations in Stamford and Ridgefield, will honor an FCIAC student for excellence in the classroom and on the field each month based on nominations from league coaches. Locally owned and operated for 12 years, Tutoring Club has helped over 3,200 students throughout the community succeed in ways they never knew possible.
