Ridgefield’s Tigers Lair Wins 9th Annual Fan Showdown

Ridgefield’s Tigers Lair is the winner of the 9th annual Ruden Report Fan Showdown, presented by Splash Car Wash.

It is Ridgefield’s third win and first since going back to back in 2013-14.

The Lair tied with New Canaan for the best video. Its one point for finishing in fifth place in the voting was the difference.

The Ridgefield athletic department will receive $500, courtesy of Splash Car Wash.

Ridgefield finished with 10 points, one point ahead of New Canaan and two ahead of Trumbull, which finished third. Greenwich came in fourth place and Fairfield Warde was fifth.

Final Standings

1. Ridgefield   10
2. New Canaan   9
3. Trumbull 8
4. Greenwich  7
4. Fairfield Warde   5
6. Wilton   3
6. Fairfield Ludlowe   3

Because of the exception quality of the videos, we had four judges. Ridgefield and New Canaan, which each got two first-place votes, tied for best video. Trumbull was third and Wilton and Greenwich tied for fourth. Westhill also received a third-place vote.

Thanks to Splash Car Wash for sponsoring the event and to the judges who took the time to review all nine videos.

Most of all, thanks to all the schools that competed. It was a lot of fun and it added further evidence that there is a lot of loyal school spirit in the FCIAC, not to mention many talented and creative videographers.

We look forward to holding the 10th edition of this contest next year.
