Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Gianluca Bianchi, Greenwich Track. Bianchi won the 300 meters at the State Open in 34.89.

Parker Broderick, Fairfield Warde Track. Broderick won the 1,600 meters at the State Open in 4:18.32.

Ryan Gilchrist, Norwalk Wrestling. Gilchrist won the 170-pound title at the Class LL championships.

Zavier Hernandez, Brien McMahon Wrestling. Hernandez won the 145-pound title at the Class LL championships.

Deacon Mascarinas, New Canaan Swimming. Mascarinas was the Rams’ lone individual event winner in a 97-83 win over Staples.

Lucas Williams, Ridgefield Track. Williams won the pole vault at the State Open in 15-0.

Donell Young, Fairfield Ludlowe Wrestling. Young won the 152-pound title at the Class LL championships.


Here are the female finalists:

Erin Donegan, St. Joseph Girls Basketball. Donegan finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the Cadets’ FCIAC quarterfinal win over Danbury.

Sheri Oberhand, Trumbull Basketball. Oberhand scored 14 points to help the Eagles rally and defeat Ridgefield in the FCIAC quarterfinals.

Maddie Tully, New Canaan Hockey. Tully had two assists in a 4-0 win over East Catholic.

Ciara Underwood, Bridgeport Central Basketball. Underwood made 10 3-point shots and scored 38 points in a loss to Fairfield Warde.
