Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Ben Curtis, Darien Football. Curtis rushed for 101 yards and returned an interception for a score in the Blue Wave’s win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Owen Fedeli, Stamford Soccer. Fedeli scored the game-winner in an FCIAC quarterfinal victory over Trumbull and assisted on both goals in a semifinal win over Danbury.

Michael Hiraman, New Canaan Football. Hiraman had a safety and forced a fumble in the Rams’ win over Wilton.

Asher Jones, Danbury Football. Jones had four catches for 104 yards and two scores and two interceptions in a 49-13 win over Westhill.

Francisco Luzuriaga, Greenwich Soccer. Luzuriaga scored twice in an FCIAC semifinal win over Brien McMahon.

Magnus Manley, Ridgefield Cross Country. Manley won the Class L title in 16:12.

Shane Sandrew, Staples Football. Sandrew caught nine passes for 165 yards and had an interception in a 27-0 win over Stamford.


Here are the female finalists:

Storey Ahl, Staples Field Hockey. Ahl scored three goals in a 9-1 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Fairfield Warde.

Alex Morgan, Fairfield Warde Cross Country. Morgan won the Class L championship in 19:19.

Sara Parker, St. Joseph Soccer. Parker scored three times in the Cadets’ 8-0 FCIAC semifinal win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Leila Ridolfi, New Canaan Swimming. Ridolfi, a freshman, won the 200 and 500 free in the Rams’ first win over Darien in eight years.

Victoria Sullivan, Greenwich Volleyball. Sullivan finished with 30 assists, 9 kills and 6 digs in a straight-set FCIAC quarterfinal win over Westhill.
