Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have four male and eight female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our new performance T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Nathan Bennett, Wilton Soccer. Bennett scored the deciding goal in a 1-0 win over Ridgefield.

Cris Carrasco, Danbury Soccer. Carrasco scored two second-half goals in a 2-1 win over Staples.

Lucas Madariaga, Darien Cross Country. Madariaga won the first meet on the school campus in a win over New Canaan.

Franco Milovanov, Trumbull Soccer. Milovanov scored in the 70th minute to give the Eagles a 2-1 win over St. Joseph.


Here are the female finalists:

Shawna Ferraro, New Canaan Field Hockey. Ferraro scored the winning goal in overtime as the Rams rallied from a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 overtime win over Darien.

Aerin Krys, Ridgefield Field Hockey. Krys scored three goals in a 5-1 victory over Wilton.

Lia L’Archevesque, Norwalk Field Hockey. L’Archevesque scored three goals in a 5-0 win over Brien McMahon.

Sydney Laureano-Rikardsen, Stamford Soccer. Laureano-Rikardsen, a freshman, scored two second-half goals in a 2-0 win over Westhill.

Meghan Lynch, Greenwich Swimming. Lynch broke a 16-year-old school record in the 500 freestyle and tied the mark in the 50 free during a win over Westhill-Stamford.

Julie Marin, Trumbull Soccer. Marin stopped 15 shots in her first start to help lead a 2-1 upset win over St. Joseph.

Colette Quinn, Darien Soccer. Quinn had a strong game at midfield in a 2-1 win over New Canaan.

Vana Servos, Westhill Volleyball. Servos finished with 35 assists, 11 digs, 3 kills and 5 service points in a 3-1 win over Stamford.
