Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our new performance T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

John Cataldo, Greenwich Lacrosse. Cataldo scored seven goals in a 15-13 win over Ridgefield.

Jack Fearnley, St. Joseph Lacrosse. Fearnley, a defender, finished with nine forced turnovers and 10 ground balls in two games.

Gerson Mendez, Stamford Volleyball. Mendez finished with 46 digs in a match against Ridgefield.

Brady Pokorny, Darien Lacrosse. Pokorny finished with three goals and three assists in a win over Staples and four goals in an overtime loss to Brunswick.

Josh White, Wilton Lacrosse. White finished with four goals and three assists in a win over Staples.


Here are the female finalists:

Sneh Dagar, Ridgefield Tennis. Dagar went unbeaten at No.2 singles, with key wins against Ludlowe and Greenwich.

Maddie Fitzgerald, St. Joseph Softball. Fitzgerald homered twice in a win over unbeaten Ludlowe, got her 100th career hit and helped the Cadets remain undefeated.

Harley Hodge, Danbury Golf. Hodge, a field hockey player participating in golf for the first time, in her first match hit a hole in one on the second hole at the Country Club of Darien.

Jordyn Lee and Annabel Brawn, New Canaan Tennis. Lee and Brawn, the Rams’ No. 1 doubles team, stayed unbeaten with three-set wins against Wilton, Staples and Greenwich.

Kaleigh SommersFairfield Ludlowe Lacrosse. Sommers finished with 12 goals and four assists last week, including the tying and winning goal in overtime as the Falcons remained unbeaten by defeating unbeaten Guilford.
