Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes, the first of the fall season and new school year.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Griffin Galletta, Greenwich Football. Galletta finished with four sacks in the Cardinals’ 34-14 win over Newtown.

Charlie Gulbin, Fairfield Warde Football. Gulbon threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 50 yards in a 29-15 win over Pomperaug.

Brandon Hutchison, St. Joseph Football. Hutchison scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns in a 14-0 win over No. 2 Darien.

Rowan Johnston, Trumbull Football. Johnston finished with 316 running and receiving yards and seven touchdowns in a 49-43 win over Masuk.

James Kennedy, Darien Soccer. Kennedy scored four goals in a wild 6-3 win over Westhill.

Caleb Smith, Staples Football. Smith ran for three touchdowns and threw for two to lead Staples to a 41-13 win over Conard.

Hunter Telesco, New Canaan Football. Hunter Telesco accounted for four touchdowns, three rushing, in a 31-0 win over Xavier.

Here are the female finalists:

Maura Carbone, Trumbull Field Hockey. Carbone scored twice in 34 seconds to lead the Eagles to a 2-1 win over Newtown.

Caroline Dickson, Danbury Soccer. Dickson scored twice in a 3-1 win over New Canaan.

Izzy Schuh, New Canaan Field Hockey. Schuh scored twice in the Rams’ 3-0 win over Branford.

Blake Wilks, Darien Field Hockey. Wilks scored three goals in a 6-0 win over Daniel Hand.

Grace Winkler, Ridgefield Field Hockey. Winkler scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.
