Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Charlie Gulbin, Fairfield Warde Football. Gulbin threw for 290 yards and four touchdowns in a 27-7 win over Bristol Eastern.

Riley Jordan, St. Joseph Football. Jordan carried the ball 26 times for 161 yards and a score in a 24-21 win over Masuk.

Jayden Lee, Ridgefield Soccer. Lee, a freshman, scored four goals in a 5-2 win over New Canaan.

Jefferson Magalhaes, Danbury Soccer. Magalhaes finished with two goals and two assists in a 6-3 win over St. Joseph.

Johan Moon, Fairfield Ludlowe Soccer. Moon scored three goals in a 4-1 win over St. Joseph.

Matt Salmini, New Canaan Football. Salmini had an interception, fumble recovery and dominated on defense in the Rams’ 14-7 win over Fairfield Prep.

Here are the female finalists:

Isabella Crowley, Ridgefield Field Hockey. The Tigers went 1-2 but Crowley finished with 48 saves in the three games.

Kate Martin, Fairfield Ludlowe Soccer. Martin scored both goals in a key 2-1 win over St. Joseph.

Klara Mueffelmann, Greenwich Field Hockey. Mueffelmann scored seven goals in a pair of wins.

Paige Shaughnessy, Fairfield Warde Soccer. Shaughnessy scored three of the team’s four goals in two wins this week.

Sarah Stancu, Norwalk Soccer. Stancu recorded three shutouts as the Bears had their first three-win week in a decade.

Kate Valante, Staples Volleyball. Valante finished with 27 kills, 3 aces, 12 digs and 3 blocks in a pair of wins.
