We have seven teams on the menu for the Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Team of the Week vote.
Your finalists are: the New Canaan Field Hockey, Fairfield Ludlowe Girls Soccer, Greenwich Girls Soccer, Staples Field Hockey, Fairfield Warde Football, Trumbull Volleyball and St. Joseph Football teams.
This year we have a new prize: the winning team from the fall that gets the most votes will receive a team pizza party at Colony Grill, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank. Ridgefield girls cross country is the leader so far with 2,169Â votes.
The Rams edged Ridgefield by a goal twice, including in the first round of the FCIAC Tournament.
The Falcons tied Staples on a goal in the final seconds and avenged a loss to town rival Fairfield Warde in the FCIAC quarterfinals.
The seventh-seeded Cardinals upset Ridgefield on penalty kicks in the FCIAC quarterfinals.
The Wreckers posted four straight shutouts, including a 2-0 FCIAC quarterfinal win over Greenwich.
The Mustangs improved to 5-2 with a 35-22 road win at Danbury.
The Eagles swept three matches to earn the second seed in the FCIAC Tournament.
The sixth-ranked Cadets won at No. 2 New Canaan, 27-14.
