FCIAC Player Of The Week: Wilton’s Piper Chase
Dave Ruden
03.26.2020

Our latest FCIAC Player of the Week, recognizing athletes who are doing charitable work to help others, is Wilton junior girls soccer player Piper Chase. The award is co-sponsored by Fairfield County Bank.
Chase, along with some of her teammates, formed Warrior Helping Hands. They are picking up and delivering food to the elderly, those with compromised immune systems and others that are quarantined during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are just looking to help people that are especially vulnerable in this time,” Chase said. “This is a crazy, uncertain, scary time that no one really understands. This is keeping a sense of community.”

Chase is doing this with some of her Wilton teammates and friends: Maggie Rowe, Maddie Pfeiffer, Libby Connolly and Janet Johnson.
Chase said Warrior Helping Hands is looking for more people to help. You can contact them by email — warriorhelpinghands@gmail.com — or calling Chase at 203-822-2116.
